Good single room in a nice house in Selly Oak. For students and visiting academics only : Selly Oak : £58pw We have one vacant room in a 4 bedroom house. All occupants are currently postgraduate students at University of Birmingham. We appreciate if only students apply due to council tax reasons. Visiting academics are also welcome. The house is located within 15 mins reach to university, Sainsburys, Aldi and Co-operative supermarkets. Selly Oak train station is 10 mins by walk. Our house has a small kitchen and good sized sitting room, and a common bathroom on the 1st floor. We have central heating and other common stuff. The available room is on the ground floor, adjacent to the sitting room. Don't worry we don't have TV and sitting room is empty most of the time, so you won't be disturbed by noise. The last 2 pics show the room. As pretty busy researchers, were care about keeping our house as a peaceful study environment. We don't allow parties in the house and we have a rotating weekly cleaning schedule. We also take off our shoes inside the house. Of course, you can invite your friends for a lunch or dinner, or barbecue in the garden. I am of Turkish origin myself. Other residents have middle-eastern backgrounds, they are kind and educated people. I have been staying with them for one year and we had almost no problems so far. Finally, we pay £40 monthly for all bills: electric. gas, water, Virgin broadband. Electric and gas bills are spread across the year, thus we pay the same amount in winter and summer months. The total rent including bills will be £290 monthly. There will also be a £200 deposit. The room will be available to move in on 30st July.
